Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SlideGenie (“the Service”) at slidegenie.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and paying customers.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], company number [NUMBER], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], trading as SlideGenie. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

SlideGenie is a SaaS platform that:

• Uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate TikTok slideshow scripts, hooks, captions, and hashtags based on descriptions you provide of your apps, products, or brands
• Retrieves stock photography from Pexels to accompany generated content
• Allows you to review, edit, and approve content before publishing
• Connects to your TikTok account via TikTok's official OAuth API to schedule and publish approved content on your behalf

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately at support@slidegenie.org if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement
• One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account

4. Payment, Subscriptions and Refunds

4.1 Paid Plans

SlideGenie offers monthly subscription plans and one-off content packs. Prices are displayed at slidegenie.org and are subject to change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

4.2 Billing

• Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis on the same date each month
• One-off content packs are billed once at the time of purchase
• All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
• You authorise us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to the Service until that date. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods.

4.4 Refunds

We offer a refund within 7 days of initial purchase if you have not used the Service to generate or publish any content. After 7 days or after use, all payments are non-refundable. To request a refund, contact support@slidegenie.org.

4.5 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. If payment remains unsuccessful after 7 days, your account may be downgraded or suspended until outstanding amounts are settled.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Generate or post content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets
• Impersonate any person, business, or entity
• Generate spam, misleading advertisements, or deceptive content
• Post content that violates TikTok's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond normal use
• Circumvent any rate limiting, access controls, or security measures
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise access to the Service without our written consent
• Generate content promoting illegal products, services, or activities

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without refund.

6. TikTok Integration

6.1 Your Responsibility

When you connect your TikTok account and use SlideGenie to publish content, you are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring all published content complies with TikTok's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service
• Ensuring you have all necessary rights to the content (including any brand names, music, or third-party materials referenced)
• Any consequences arising from posts published via your account
• Reviewing and approving content before publishing — by clicking “Post to TikTok” you confirm you have reviewed and approve the content

6.2 OAuth Access

By connecting your TikTok account, you grant SlideGenie permission to publish content to TikTok on your behalf using the video.publish API scope. You can revoke this permission at any time from your SlideGenie account settings (which calls TikTok's token revocation endpoint) or directly from your TikTok account settings.

6.3 TikTok's Terms

Your use of TikTok through our integration is also subject to TikTok's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. SlideGenie is not responsible for TikTok's platform policies, availability, or any action TikTok takes regarding your account or content.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using SlideGenie, including product descriptions you input and the final generated slideshows. By using the Service, you grant SlideGenie a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store your content solely to provide the Service.

7.2 Our Platform

SlideGenie, including its design, code, brand, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by us. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

7.3 Third-Party Images

Images sourced from Pexels are subject to the Pexels Licence. By using these images in your TikTok content, you agree to comply with the Pexels Licence terms. SlideGenie does not warrant that images are free of all third-party claims.

7.4 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI is provided as a tool to assist you. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content for accuracy, appropriateness, and legal compliance before publishing. AI-generated text may occasionally be inaccurate or unsuitable — always review before posting.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Any guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Any guarantee that AI-generated content will be accurate, suitable, or achieve any particular result on TikTok
• Any guarantee regarding TikTok view counts, follower growth, or engagement from posted content

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SlideGenie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to SlideGenie in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SlideGenie and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content you generate or publish; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights, including TikTok's policies.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• We will delete your account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law
• TikTok OAuth tokens are deleted immediately
• No refund is owed for any remaining subscription period if termination is due to a breach

You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer in another jurisdiction entitled to rely on local consumer protection laws.

13. General

• Entire agreement — these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SlideGenie regarding the Service
• Severability — if any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
• No waiver — failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it later
• Assignment — you may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights freely
